NY CHIMNEY INSPECTIONS

It has always been a myth that unused chimneys and fireplaces do not need inspections.  However, unseen cracks can further develop and weaken the chimney structure.  Also, birds tend to nest and lay eggs which cause obstructions and can lead to build up.  Creosote/soot build up is the number one leading cause of home fires.  The National Fire Protection Association recommends having all chimneys and fireplaces inspected at least once a year.

All fireplaces/chimneys should have chimney caps and/or chimney dampers.  Chimney caps are typically stainless steel or copper.  However, we also offer our customer choices of stainless steel caps, copper caps, balck or white aluminum and glavanized steel.  These too should be inspected to ensure the safety and longevity of your chimney.  Our company also installs stainless steel liners and flawless fireplace restoration.
